Agarwood, often called oud in Western fragrance, does not begin as naturally scented wood. When an agarwood tree is damaged, fragrant resin gradually develops within the wood over time. Because this process cannot be rushed, agarwood has long held a distinctive place in Chinese incense culture.
When burned, it releases a deep woody fragrance with a noticeable resinous character. Compared with the smooth, slightly creamy warmth of Ancient Sandalwood, Island Oud is darker, less sweet, and more layered. It is especially suited to customers who already enjoy woody fragrances or want something with more depth.
This scent fits naturally into an evening listening session. After finishing work, play music from your phone, computer, or home speaker and let one cone accompany two or three songs. It can also be used before a short seated meditation for those who already have that habit. No elaborate ritual is needed—the rich woody scent simply becomes part of your personal evening time.

• For home fragrance only. Do not eat. Place 1 cone on a compatible backflow burner and align the hollow channel in the cone base with the burner's smoke opening.
• Light the tip, let it catch, then gently blow out the flame so only a glowing ember remains. The downward smoke flow may take a few minutes to begin.
• Set the burner on a level, stable, heat-resistant, nonflammable surface away from the edge. Make sure it can contain falling ash and any residue produced during use.
• Keep the room gently ventilated, but avoid fans, air vents, and strong draughts. Keep cones, smoke, ash, and the burner away from food, drinks, tableware, curtains, paper, and other flammable or heat-sensitive items.
• Keep burning incense in sight and away from children and pets. Never move the burner while hot, leave it unattended, or use it while sleeping. Allow it to cool fully before cleaning ash or oily residue.
• Small differences in colour, size, shape, and surface texture, along with a little loose powder, are normal for handcrafted incense. Store unused cones in the inner tray and closed outer box in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.

I wanted a wood fragrance without committing to a long incense session. These cones make sense for that. I sit near the burner, enjoy the agarwood direction and the moving smoke, then get on with the rest of the evening after it's out.
I appreciate that this does not smell like sweet cologne. It is dry, dark, and a little bitter at first, then warmer as it burns. My only issue is that airflow from a nearby vent interrupted the waterfall, so burner placement matters.
