The square ebony body supports a round metal lid and is surrounded by layered auspicious-cloud carvings. In Chinese decorative art, these stylized clouds represent favorable things approaching. As incense smoke rises through the openwork lid and blends with the carved clouds, the still design appears to come to life.

The metal lid may show subtle variations in color or surface texture and may naturally develop slight oxidation over time. These are normal characteristics of metal and the antiqued finish.
The fire-resistant cotton pad may shift or become slightly compressed during shipping. Gently flatten and reposition it before use.
Always place coil incense on the included fire-resistant cotton pad. Never allow burning incense, embers, or hot ash to touch the wooden body directly.
Before use, make sure the coil lies flat and does not touch the inner walls. The metal lid may become hot during use. Allow it to cool completely before opening, moving, or cleaning the burner.
Place the burner on a level, stable, and heat-resistant surface in a properly ventilated room. Keep it away from flammable materials, children, and pets, and never leave burning incense unattended.
Clean with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Do not wash with water or expose the burner to prolonged sunlight or damp conditions. Keep acidic cleaning products away from the metal lid.

CUSTOMER NOTES
I bought this mainly because an open coil burner was leaving ash too visible. The square body contains it well and the lid makes the burner look tidy during use. Four stars because the metal top warms up and needs time before handling.
This sits firmly on my table and gives a full coil enough room without looking oversized. The black sandalwood body and metal cloud lid have a nice contrast. Fine ash can collect in the openwork pattern, so I use a soft brush for cleanup.
The dark wood blends well with my desk and the burner does not slide around during setup. The covered design keeps the long burn visually calm. Some scent remains inside the wood after use, which is not unpleasant but is noticeable up close.
The cloud pattern is decorative, but the simple square body keeps the overall look controlled. Smoke moves through the lid evenly when the coil is centered. I would like a small lifting tab, since removing the cover after it cools takes a careful grip.
I bought it for the appearance and was equally pleased with the function. Dark wood and metal create a restrained contrast that suits many rooms. I used it on a shelf with other dark-toned objects. The materials looked coordinated rather than overly ornate.

The proportions and finish felt right as soon as I placed it. The covered shape keeps the long burn and circular ash neatly out of sight. I used it through a full coil session. The surrounding surface stayed much cleaner than it does with an open burner.
The square ebony base has a solid feel and sits flat on my home office shelf. I like the lower shape because it does not compete with the other objects around it. The round metal lid softens the square form and gives it a more finished look.
After repeated use, the details I appreciated on day one still stand out. Once closed, the simple square form reads as a small decorative box. I used it between uses on the sideboard. After cooling and cleaning, there was no need to put the burner away.
What impressed me first was the design. The square black sandalwood body feels stable, while the metal cloud lid adds fine detail. I used it on my wooden desk. It did not slide during setup and gave the coil enough interior space.
Once cleaned and closed, this looks like a small decorative box rather than incense equipment. The metalwork is the highlight for me. I gave four stars because cleaning the inner corners is slower than wiping a round ceramic dish.
